The hotel in boston was a great find. It's just 10 minutes to the funicular up to montecatini alto, where you get fine views and lovely restaurants. The buffet breakfast had an amazing variety, and the rooftop pool was perfect for a relaxing dip after a busy day.
would recommend.

The honest truth about this
Breakfast was excellent! A fantastic selection of pastries, rolls, fruit, and more. The hotel is conveniently located just a short 500 meters from the train station.
Noise levels can be bothersome. Street traffic and cleaning staff can disrupt an otherwise peaceful stay. The air conditioning system was inconsistent during warmer days, impacting comfort levels in the room.

Well-appointed and beautifully maintained rooms with big beds, a mini fridge and Wi-Fi. Fab cereal, pastries, and fruit in the morning. Fantastic setting, not far from even Milan, and both Montecatini train stations.

The breakfast served was very good. Close proximity to the Funicular for access to Montecatimi Alto. Quaint; typically old Italian style. Clean.
The hotel is not wheelchair accessible; there are two stairs from the sidewalk to the lobby, with no ramp. I had to carry my wife into the lobby. The room we had (and I saw into a few other rooms too), was very tight for a small wheelchair, and definitely the bathroom was not accessible. I would not recommend this hotel if you have a person who cannot walk at least a little, or be carried, out of the chair. (There is a small elevator up to the bedroom floors). The bedroom a/c is horrible; there is a low or high setting switch for the a/c that worked fairly well (but not great) at first; in a few hours after check-in when we returned from dinner the room temp was lowered from 26 to 25 degrees C. Then around midnight the a/c quit and would not come back on despite changing the switch settings. The window could not be opened for ventilation because there were no screens to keep the mosquitos out. The room got more and more hot and stuffy as the night progressed making sleep very uncomfortable. A ceiling fan would have helped; but no such thing. Upon check out we told the woman on the desk about the problem in case it was a malfunction, but it was no malfunction. She could not care less. She said "that's the way it is in Italy. When the outside air drops below 18 degrees we turn the building a/c off." (Of course this is not true because we've stayed at many hotels in Italy that allow full a/c control independant of the main hotel.) No apologies. She refused to believe that the room was higher than 18 degrees and she refused to even go and see how stuffy it was. She was simply not concerned about our discomfort. There are many other hotels on the same street that I would suggest trying before this one.

Check-in process felt a bit slow with just one person at the front desk. The room was spacious and clean, but some furniture looked dated. The shower was great and the bed comfy. Breakfast had a good variety, though a few items tasted inconsistent on different days. The rooftop pool area had beautiful views, but in October, it was already closed despite the advertised opening dates. I appreciated the hotel's convenience for accessing the train station, only a 7-minute walk away. Parking was a slight hassle due to unclear instructions, leading to some unnecessary extra charges. Evening meals were quite nice, especially with friendly staff assisting with recommendations.

The rooftop pool offers fine views. Breakfast features a diverse buffet with everything from pastries to seasonal fruits, catering to various tastes.
The room vibe felt a bit tired, reflecting a dated design that could use updating. Noise from surrounding streets and nearby rooms made it difficult for a peaceful night's sleep, especially during peak hours. The air conditioning didn't perform as well as hoped on warmer days, which detracted from comfort.

Imagine where the characters in the film cocoon might stay and here you have the perfect retirement hotel. Perfectly friendly staff, good sized clean accomodation (the room was a bit sparse, but modern bathroom, tv and wifi all make up for this).
The big flaw if you are booking for the pool is a) small b) on top of a roof and c) full to bursting. All in all if you want a family room in this location a good hotel at the price but many better on our trip around Italy Also, only hotel that charged for secure parking at 7 Euro's a night!
